Helping farmers increase their incomes through proven, productive tools

We enable access to affordable finance so smallholder farmers can invest in proven, productive assets that increase their incomes and build long-term resilience.

78% of the world's extreme poor are smallholder farmers

Half a billion smallholder farmers grow about one-third of the world's food, yet most live in extreme poverty. Yields are low, prices fluctuate, and climate shocks cut deep into already narrow margins.

Farmers are excluded from proven tools that raise incomes

Simple, proven tools like water tanks and fertiliser can lift farm incomes for years. Many farmers could afford them on credit, but lenders misjudge their risk, leaving a $170 billion gap in smallholder finance.
